The development was a 2 storey, traditional built construction care home for the Local Authority. 

 

BSA provided full Civil and Structural engineering services including drainage, external spaces, foundations which took the form of piles and ground beams, suspended pre-cast ground floors, masonry ground and first floors,  precast first floor slabs and timber roof trusses. 

 

The development had various external complexities such as adjacent buildings exhibiting significant defects, risk of unexploded ordnance in the ground, location adjacent to the River Clyde and very poor ground conditions.
