As part of Travelodge Expansion Programme we provided full civil and structural engineering services for 3No. 50 bedroom hotels in the East Central Belt at Glenrothes, Dunfermline & Falkirk.

Each of the hotels were similar in appearance, namely three storey with central entrance and stairwells at each end.  However, the foundation design was bespoke to each site with Glenrothes using standard strip foundation, Dunfermline using reinforced wide strip foundation and Falkirk using piles and ground beams.  Each hotel was serviced with its own access and carpark and the local authority insisted on full SUDS compliance.  Treatment was afforded by a system of porous paving and filter trenches with attenuation provided by basins to reduce site run-off to equivalent green field run-off.
