The development consisted of two storey terraced houses and 1No. block of four storey common access flats for City of Edinburgh Council. 

 

The buildings were of timber frame construction with masonry block and pre-cast concrete stair cores to the flatted blocks.  Foundations were provided via shallow reinforced strip footings. 

 

A detailed site earthworks strategy was necessary to minimise off site disposal. 

 

Roads and parking were construction from porus paving to provide SUDS treatment of run-off and stormwater attenuation was provided by below ground cellular storage, located within areas of common landscaping.
